The brief involved renovating the façades of an existing building located between Abdali and 4th Circle. The design approach was to reflect the identity of the occupying company and give the building a new fresh look that will not go unnoticed from the busy street whilst respecting the existing structure. As per client requests, it was crucial to choose light materials that would keep construction times as low as possible, therefore, to avoid any dismantling of the existing structure, renovation treatment was kept at a minimum. Openings were increased to their maximum potential within the existing structure and a metal mesh screen for shading was attached in front of the façade through a catwalk to make cleaning and maintenance of the windows easier. In addition, new layouts for the basements were planned out to maximize parking spaces, and a new drop zone was implemented to make vehicular circulation more efficient in the very congested street. In addition, green elements were added in the form of a roof terrace for the enjoyment of employees and a new void between the 4th and 5th floor for the management department.
