The new 10,000m2 Aramex headquarters in Jordan, is located inside the fairly new and upcoming Business Park, in Amman. Our scope involved a fully detailed rehabilitation and redesign for the interior to reflect the identity and brand of Aramex. Therefore, the furnishings and finishes respectfully echo the characteristics of Aramex with subtle hints of their notorious striking red tones that is evident in their logo. However, due to the previous formal function of this existing building, the inside layout was deemed rigid and stiff. Therefore, it was a challenge to transform these spaces into a functional open space to match the working culture that Aramex employees adopt.

Most of the time, their employees work in various groups, so there was a need for spaces that can be flexible enough to accommodate the needs of the differently sized groups. In addition, an open communal space was incorporated that has the ability to combine multiple groups if ever needed. Since the job requires spending a lot of time on the phone, quiet booths were installed with appropriate acoustical treatment. Moreover, we integrated multiple breakout lounges and a visually pleasing cafeteria for the enjoyment of the employees. To break away from the typical day at the office routine, there is an outdoor courtyard with various planting that can be used as a gathering space during breaks, or as an outdoor office since it is equipped with multiple workstations and pergolas for shade.
